Well, the other day my doorknob was seriously threatening to run away from home. Then got defiant when I tried to make it stay. And after 20 minutes of trying to reason with it to no avail, I gave up. I said to myself, "I've got something for you." Early the next morning, I called Eastway Lock & Key. I spoke to a very courteous and knowledgeable woman who told me that they could get someone out ASAP. She also told me pricing and that she'll give me a call as soon as someone is dispatched. Well, they sent Andrew my way, who was prompt, efficient and friendly. He not only told the doorknob that this was it's home whether it liked it or not, but also reinforced the importance of being cooperative. Thanks, Eastway Lock and Key. I've never had them cut a key that didn't work. Over 100 keys easily because I'm in Real Estate. Yes, they charge a little more than HD or Lowe's but those have an 80-90% fail rate in my experience. Buy local. Support small business. If you do happen to get a bad key/s they will gladly recut new ones for you. Bet you a dollar that never happens though.

These guys are serious about security. As a new homeowner taking over a Medeco lock system, I was appropriately required to present ID, deed, and release from previous owner in order to have duplicate keys made. Tristin was pleasant and efficient in completing the procedure.

I called about mid-morning needing a new deadbolt. Very friendly answer. After a few questions, they told me I could get my deadbolt rekeyed instead of a new lock. That saved me money which I greatly appreciated. Alex called a little after 1pm the same day and said he was able to come to my home then. We pulled in at the same time and within 30 minutes, I had my deadbolt rekeyed along with six new keys! Alex was very nice and professional. He was even able to take my old key and make it unlock the newly rekeyed deadbolt! I thought that was awesome because that particular key was a really cool design. Thank you, Alex! Thank you Eastway Lock & Key! You really made my day!

I had such a great experience in this mom and pop business where they treat you like you matter! I have a small chest that is a family heirloom. I never lock it because I don't have the key but a friend accidentally closed the lock. After many months, and many keys I tried, I finally brought the box in to Eastway. After some inspection, he figured out that the lock only needed to be pressed, and the lid would pop open! We both had a good laugh, and he sent me off, no charge. Would definitely patronize these guys again if I have the need!!
